McFate Adventure Co. is a silly name I came up when I created this blog.
I’m just a guy doing my thing out here in Utah. I’ve been married to a beautiful girl for a while now, and together we’ve got three pretty awesome kids. There’s also a cat that for the most part, hates the world, but likes us for some reason. We've also added a dog, and a few fish to the crew.
My day job is at Control4, working as an iOS developer. Basically, we make some pretty killer home automation gear, as well as stuff that ties into gear made by other folks. Lights, audio, home theaters, 8-jet car wash style showers, you name it, we can probably already control it, and help you feel like you live in the Jetson’s house. If not, we’ll likely be able to enable control for it soon. It’s a sweet gig.
In the past, I’ve worked on games, a pile of mobile apps, and another heap of web apps. Basically, I’m a professional computer geek. I’m also a ham radio nerd, and you can find me on the air as KC6BSA.
When I’m not doing that, I’m usually out with the family, camping, mountain biking, painting models, playing some guitar, or just screwing around with one project or another. Occasionally, I even remember to write stuff here. Mostly, I just write about the trips we take, time spent exploring, or the nerdy projects I'm working on.
p.s. Did I ever tell you about Mrs. McCave?
