3D Printed MOLLE Nuts

3D Printing Apr 8, 2024

Looking for a way to mount some stuff to the MOLLE grids in my Bronco, I designed a set of MOLLE nuts. I'm using these for things that didn't originally have any straps like a pouch or bag might.

The holes are not threaded - instead they'll accept an insert with a barrel diameter of 7mm and a flange diameter of 10mm. I picked up the inserts at my local Ace Hardware for a few cents each. I suggest that before buying the inserts, you print one of the nuts and take it with you to the hardware store to make sure the insert will fit.

I printed the nuts at 50% infill, to make them nice & thick. I've had a set of these holding up the fire extinguisher and other items for over eight months now, and they're still holding strong, even after several thousand miles both on & off-road.

I've posted these files over on Gumroad. You can download them for free by typing in a big fat zero for the price, or if you're feeling generous, pay what you want.
